Engaging the Public in Developing Innovative Solutions
The National Mall Coalition has been working to educate the American people as well as government entities about Mall history and engage them in brainstorming and proposing innovative solutions for the future.
Our National Mall faces serious challenges that require innovative and comprehensive solutions: improving resilience; connecting the Mall to the surrounding community; creating new space for future museums and modern mega-events such as the National Book Festival; flood control to protect the museums and cultural resources; improving visitor amenities and circulation; a comprehensive landscape restoration plan; improving the American story told on the Mall.
