The National Mall Needs Your Support…

Dear Friends of the National Mall,
Thank you for your enduring support. Now, more than ever, we need all Americans to stand up for the National Mall.
Read here our urgent public CALL TO ACTION in response to recent heavy-handed, unprecedented actions: demolition of the White House East Wing without public consultation; National Guard troops stationed in front of our national monuments; and political demands to control how the Smithsonian tells American history.
Guardrails have been eliminated. Public say in the future of our Stage for American Democracy is ignored. It’s time – before who knows what other changes are revealed – to create a 3rd Century Mall commission of thoughtful architects, engineers, civic leaders, landscape architects, and others to envision a comprehensive plan for the Mall’s future. Change will come. The question is: Who will decide the Mall’s evolution in its 3rdcentury?
